About

There are twenty modules in the complete series, presented over two years, each one focusing on a specific key concept from Applied Jungian psychology. Students can attend any module in the series or sign-up to do the complete series for the Certificate Course.

The workshops are designed with both the complete beginner and the more advanced student in mind, to be thought provoking and offer some insight into their application in the life and psyche of the student.

The workshops are two and a half hours long and include a formal presentation on the topic, Q&A, and interactive exercises (applications) to work with and assimilate the concept.

The Foundation Modules Series is CPD accredited for 60 CPD’s through the CPD Certificate Service.

Certificate in Applied Jungian Psychology issued to students completing the full series. The recorded lectures list below.

Complexes

Date and Time: Saturday 18th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

” …they are autonomous complexes, disturbing factors that break through the conscious control and act like true “disturbers of the peace.” Because this is such a well-known fact my term “complex,” as used in this sense, has passed into common speech. The more “complexes” a man has, the more he is possessed.”  (CW Vol 7 par 387)

The Objective Psyche

Date and Time: Saturday 15th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

“This content has an overpowering effect and holds the conscious mind spellbound. The tremendous power of the “objective psychic” has been named “demon” or “God” in all epochs with the sole exception of the recent present. We have become so bashful in matters of religion that we correctly say “unconscious,” because God has in fact become unconscious to us.” (CW Vol 11, par 479)

Bookings now closed for April. The recording will be made available to students who purchase the full series.

Consciousness: In Search of the Archimedean Point

Date and Time: Saturday 20th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

“If we picture the conscious mind, with the ego as its centre, as being opposed to the unconscious, and if we now add to our mental picture the process of assimilating the unconscious, we can think of this assimilation as a kind of approximation of conscious and unconscious, where the centre of the total personality no longer coincides with the ego, but with a point midway between the conscious and the unconscious.” (CW Vol 7, par 365)

Bookings now closed for May. The recording will be made available to students who purchase the full series.

17 June 2023

Shadow

Date and Time: Saturday 17th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

“The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego- personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge, and it therefore, as a rule, meets with considerable resistance. (CW Vol 9ii, par 14)

Bookings now closed for June. The recording will be made available to students who purchase the full series.

15 July 2023

Eros and Logos: Androgyne and Gender in Jungian Psychology

Date and Time: Saturday 15th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

“During puberty it is mostly homosexual experiences, and these are much more common than is generally admitted. Heterosexual experiences come later, not always of a very beautiful kind. For the less the sexual complex is assimilated to the whole of the personality, the more autonomous and instinctive it will be. “(CW 10, par 217)

Bookings now closed for July. The recording will be made available to students who purchase the full series.

26 August 2023

Persona

Date and Time: Saturday 26th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

“It is probably no accident that our modern notions of “personal” and “personality” derive from the word persona. I can assert that my ego is personal or a personality, and in exactly the same sense I can say that my persona is a personality with which I identify myself more or less. The fact that I then possess two personalities is not so remarkable, since every autonomous or even relatively autonomous complex has the peculiarity of appearing as a personality, i.e., of being personified.” (CW Vol 7, par 312)

Bookings now closed for August. The recording will be made available to students who purchase the full series.

16 September 2023

The Mundus Imaginalis: Part 1 Dreams and Dream Interpretation

Date and Time: Saturday 16th, 2023 at 2 pm London/9 am New York.

“It is only in modern times that the dream, this fleeting and insignificant-looking product of the psyche, has met with such profound contempt. Formerly it was esteemed as a harbinger of fate, a portent and comforter, a messenger of the gods. Now we see it as the emissary of the unconscious, whose task it is to reveal the secrets that are hidden from the conscious mind, and this it does with astounding completeness. (CW Vol 7, par 21)

Bookings now closed for September. The recording will be made available to students who purchase the full series.
